Adidas enlisted Prologue to create two 30-second spots that act as one dialogue. Adidas’ miCoach is a thumbnail size device that can be inserted into a compatible Adidas shoe to capture 360-degree speed and distance performance data, bringing a revolution to the worlds most beloved game. Prologue’s goal was to introduce how this revolutionary product will enhance the game, better understanding the players based on the output of the tracked data. Prologue first traveled to Portland to shoot live action of pregame rituals, along with high-energy footage of the MLS match between the Portland Timbers and Sporting Kansas City. Four days later, Prologue journeyed to Dallas and captured similar pregame preparations and epic in-game footage of MLS’ FC Dallas vs. Real Salt Lake. Shot on 16mm film at various frame rates, capturing the environments of the stadium was as vital as the gameplay footage itself. Each spot is interlaced with PROLOGUE typography and animation that gratifies the intimate technology that miCoach has to offer, which fully unleashes the potential of all athletes on the field. Combined, Adidas and Prologue created a metaphor of one league, one team, promoting smarter game for all.
